PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH THE MFA ESTONIA DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR ASIA PACIFIC OCEAN REGION, MIDDLE EAST, AND AFRICA
22 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Estonia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Alena Grace Borra, met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General for Asia Pacific Ocean Region, Middle East, and Africa, Ambassador Kristi Karelsohn during her official visit to Tallinn on 20-24 February 2023.
The meeting reviewed the recent developments in bilateral relations, including the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations last 19 December 2021, and the recent bilateral meeting between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Prime Minister Kaja Kallas on the sidelines of the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit in Brussels on 14 December 2022.
Both sides agreed to intensify efforts to foster closer and stronger relations between the two countries, especially in the area of digital technology, tourism, and academic exchanges, and also through high-level visits and parliamentary interactions.
