PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH THE MFA ESTONIA DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND HUMAN RIGHTS
22 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Estonia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Alena Grace Borra, met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General for International Organizations and Human Rights Ambassador Aino Lepik von Wirén, during her official visit to Tallinn on 20-24 February 2023.
Ambassador Ruiz highlighted the virtual commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations last 19 December 2021 which boosted excellent cooperation between the Philippines and Estonia at the multilateral level, particularly in the area of candidatures. She also conveyed the commitment of the Philippine government to continue its constructive engagement with the international community, including the EU, in the area of human rights in the Philippines.
Both sides expressed the hope that mutual support and cooperation would continue towards fostering closer and stronger relations between the two countries.
