PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH THE MFA ESTONIA UNDERSECRETARY FOR GLOBAL AFFAIRS AND THE DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR DIGITAL AND CYBER DIPLOMACY

22 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Estonia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Alena Grace Borra, met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Global Affairs Ambassador Märt Volmer and the Director General for Digital and Cyber Diplomacy Ambassador Tanel Sepp, during her official visit to Tallinn on 20-24 February 2023.

Ambassador Ruiz highlighted the opportunities provided by the EU-ASEAN strategic partnership to strengthen Philippines-Estonia relations at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

Both sides also agreed that the Philippine government’s initiatives to accelerate the country’s transition to a digital state would also boost efforts to establish cooperation in the areas of e-governance and cybersecurity.
