PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH THE CHAIRMAN OF THE RIIGIKOGU FOREIGN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
22 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Estonia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz met with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Member of the Riigikogu Mr. Andres Sutt, during her official visit to Tallinn on 20-24 February 2023.
Ambassador Ruiz briefed Mr. Sutt on the latest developments in Philippines-Estonia relations, particularly the commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations on 19 December 2021 and the recent bilateral meeting between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Prime Minister Kaja Kallas on the sidelines of the ASEAN-EU Commemorative Summit in Brussels on 14 December 2022.
Both sides agreed that there should be more initiatives to encourage people-to-people linkages, including through tourism exchanges and parliamentary interactions.
