PHILIPPINE EMBASSY MEETS WITH TALLIN UNIVERSITY

20 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Estonia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Alena Grace Borra met with the Rector of Tallinn University Professor Tōnu Viik and the University’s Strategy Manager Mr. Mikk Kasesalk, during an official visit to Tallinn on 20-24 February 2023.

The meeting highlighted the need to encourage more people-to-people connections, including through academic exchanges and the establishment of institutional linkages between the universities of the two countries. Tallinn University, in particular, would be interested to develop cooperation in the following areas: pedagogical studies, education, humanities, social sciences, film and media, political science, and law.

The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw will actively assist in laying the groundwork for this area of cooperation between the Philippines and Estonia.
