PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR PARTICIPATES IN THE MEETING OF THE ASIA PACIFIC AMBASSADORS WITH POLISH FOREIGN MINISTER

10 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz participated in the meeting of Ambassadors and representatives of Asia Pacific countries accredited to Poland with Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zbigniew Rau, which was hosted by the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw.

This meeting, which is usually held in the early part of the year, was the first to take place in the wake of the pandemic.

After the Minister’s welcoming/opening speech and the response of Malaysian Ambassador Dato Chitra Devi Ramiah on behalf of the Asia Pacific Ambassadors, the participants were invited to a special buffet lunch prepared for the occasion.

Ambassador Ruiz conveyed her warm greetings and best wishes to Minister Rau and also connected with senior officials of the Ministry responsible for relations with Poland’s partners in the Asia Pacific region: Undersecretary of State for Economic Cooperation, the UN, Asia and the Americas Ambassador Wojciech Gerwel and Director for the Asia-Pacific Department Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska.
