PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR TO LATVIA MEETS WITH THE VICE RECTOR OF DAUGAVPILS UNIVERSITY
21 October 2022 – Philippine Ambassador to Latvia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz met online with the Vice Rector for Science of Daugavpils University Prof. Arvīds Barševskis during her official visit to Riga on 20-22 October 2022.
Professor Barševskis was assisted by Ms. Liene Leikuma Rimicāne, Senor Specialist in Cooperation Issues, while Ambassador Ruiz was accompanied by Cultural Officer and Secretary to the Ambassador Ma. Chloe O. Silverio.
Ambassador Ruiz reiterated her appreciation to Prof. Barševskis for participating in the virtual celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Latvia last 17 December 2021.
She noted the excellent opportunity to connect with him again during her visit and to know more about Daugavpils University and its on-going active cooperation with the University of Mindanao in the Philippines in the area of staff member and student mobility to support development relations in biology and for global scientific network and publications.
