PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR MEETS WITH THE MFA LITHUANIA DIRECTOR FOR UN AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

18 October 2022 – Philippine Ambassador to Lithuania Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz met with Ambassador Andrius Krivas, Director of the Department of United Nations, International Organizations and Human Rights of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania during her official visit to Vilnius on 16-19 October 2022.

Ambassador Ruiz briefed Director Krivas on the latest developments in Philippines-Lithuania relations and on the human rights situation in the Philippines particularly on the progress of the implementation of the PHL-UN Joint Program on human rights. Both sides noted the active cooperation at the multilateral level particularly on exchanges of support for candidatures.

Ambassador Ruiz was accompanied during the meeting by her spouse Alejandro Ricardo Ruiz while Director Krivas was assisted by Attaché Ms. Ignė Vrubliauskaitė.
