 PH EMBASSY CO-ORGANIZES ASEAN FAMILY DAY IN WARSAW

 

Diplomatic personnel and families from the Embassies of the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam gather at the Powsin Culture Park in Warsaw for ASEAN Family Day.

 

06 June 2022 - The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw jointly held an ASEAN Family Day with the Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam on Saturday, 04 June 2022 at the Powsin Culture Park as part of efforts to foster closer relations, cooperation and camaraderie among the ASEAN diplomatic corps in Poland.

As current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW), Philippine Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz congratulated and thanked all the ASEAN Embassies for their active cooperation and support to ensure that the ACW family is able to gather together again for the first time after several years.

The event gathered around one hundred participants from the Embassies of the five ASEAN member states, and featured friendly games of bowling, table tennis, volleyball, team-building games, and a potluck picnic featuring cuisine from each country.  END.

H.E. Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz (center) delivered the Welcome Remarks as Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW). She is joined by the Ambassadors of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam and the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of Thailand, along with their respective spouses.

 

 

Various team-building games were especially organized for the children.
 

 

The ASEAN Family Day featured friendly games of bowling, table tennis, and volleyball.

 


The ACW working group distributed various prizes to the participants.

 

The ASEAN Family Day concluded with a potluck picnic featuring cuisine from each country.
