PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN WARSAW CONDUCTS ITS SECOND CONSULAR OUTREACH ACTIVITY IN KYIV, UKRAINE
18 September 2021 – A team from the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw traveled to the city of Kyiv to render consular and OV services to Filipinos living and working in Ukraine.
The consular outreach was held on Saturday, 18 September 2021 at the Hotel Ukraine, 4 Instytutska Str, Kiev, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:20 pm. A total of 57 Filipinos arrived at the hotel to avail of passport, notarial and other consular services and to apply as overseas voters for the May 2022 national elections. Several applicants also consulted the Embassy on consular and labor matters.
The Embassy team also accepted in behalf of POLO-Milan twenty-nine (29) applications for OWWA membership reactivation. A total of 108 services were rendered during this consular outreach activity.
The Kyiv consular outreach is part of the ongoing Consular Sunday Program of the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw which aims to provide consular services to Filipinos who live in distant areas or are unable to avail of these services during the regular work day.
The 5-member Embassy team was composed of Consul General Mardomel Celo Melicor (Team Leader), Finance Officer Marden Garduque, Protocol Officer/Information Officer Chloe Silverio, Cultural Officer/Acting Consular Assistant Imelda de Joya and Property Officer/VRM Operator Roberto Reyes.
The Philippine Honorary Consul General in Kyiv Valeriy Kovalenko and Ms. Anzhelika Lobova were also present to assist the team and ensure excellent arrangements for the outreach.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the consular outreach activity was conducted in strict compliance with health and safety regulations in Ukraine. END
