PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN WARSAW CONDUCTS THE FIRST-EVER CONSULAR OUTREACH ACTIVITY IN TALLINN, ESTONIA

28 August 2021 – A team from the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw traveled to the city of Tallinn to render consular and OV services to Filipinos living and working in Estonia.

The consular outreach was held on Saturday, 28 August 2021 at the Go Hotel Shnelli located at Toompuiestee 37, Tallinn City-Centre, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. A total of 65 Filipinos arrived at the hotel including 3 Filipinos who travelled all the way from Latvia. They were able to avail of passport, notarial and other consular services and to apply as an overseas voter for the May 2022 national elections. Several Filipino clients also availed of the opportunity to consult the Embassy on consular and labor matters. A total of 100 services were rendered during this activity.

 

This is the first time that the Philippine Embassy conducted an outreach in Estonia and also the first one to be held among the three Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).

The Tallinn consular outreach is part of the ongoing Consular Sunday Program of the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw which aims to provide consular services to Filipinos who live in distant areas or are unable to avail of these services during the regular work day.

The 5-member Embassy team was composed of Consul Alena Grace Borra (Team Leader), Finance Officer Marden Garduque, Acting Records and Communications Officer/Protocol Officer/Information Officer Ma. Chloe Silverio, Cultural Officer/Acting Consular Assistant Imelda de Joya and Property Officer/VRM Operator Roberto Reyes.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the consular outreach activity was conducted in strict compliance with health and safety regulations in Estonia. END
