WARSAW PE CELEBRATES THE 53RD FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY OF ASEAN
In celebration of the 53rd Founding Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on 8 August 2020, the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw held a brief commemorative program at the Embassy grounds on 10 August 2020.
The program commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the Panunumpa ng Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas led by Property Officer Roberto Reyes, and the singing of the ASEAN Anthem led by Administrative Officer Sylvia Reyes. Consul Alena Borra read the historic ASEAN DAY message of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
In her brief concluding remarks, Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz highlighted the meaningful and inspiring virtual commemoration “#WeAreASEAN” spearheaded by the DFA-Office of ASEAN Affairs which was livestreamed on Saturday, 08 August 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Manila time. END
