WARSAW 20 August 2020 – For the first time since the pandemic lockdown began in March 2020, the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw succeeded in completing the Assistance-To-Nationals (ATN)–funded repatriation on 17 August 2020 of three land-based Filipinos who lost their jobs and sought the assistance of the Embassy so they could go home to the Philippines.

The Embassy had to re-book their flight several times due to the successive cancellation of their commercial flights to the Philippines. Finally, they were able to board their long-awaited trip home following the Warsaw-Frankfurt-Doha-Cebu route which, though a longer route than usual, successfully brought them home.

The three Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) were very happy to arrive safely in Cebu and begin their onward journey to their respective hometowns to reunite with their families. END
