The Philippine Embassy in Poland recently launched a photo gallery along the façade of its Chancery as part of its cultural and tourism promotion program. Philippine Ambassador to Poland Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz led the unveiling ceremony in front of the Embassy in the Wilanów district of Warsaw on Saturday, 07 March 2020. The event was graced by the Undersecretary for Administration J. Eduardo Malaya of the Department of Foreign Affairs, who was in Warsaw for an official visit.

The Embassy commissioned the installment of four weather-proof poster frames across the stretch of its exterior wall. High-resolution photos of the Philippines’ unique and most beautiful attractions were put on display: the limestone cliffs and white sand beach of El Nido, Palawan; the rice terraces of Banaue; the chocolate hills of Bohol; and the rich marine life in Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park.

The gallery will regularly change its display to feature the country’s best tourist destinations, various festivals, Philippine-made crafts and products, and special events that the Embassy plans to promote. The project is part of the Embassy’s efforts to strengthen the awareness of the Polish public on the various aspects of Philippine culture and heritage. END.
