27 December 2019 - The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw participated in the International Charity Bazaar organized by the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) on 08 December 2019 at Marriott Hotel Warsaw.
The Philippine Embassy theme was “Christmas in the Philippines” to illustrate the Filipino way of celebrating Christmas. The Embassy tables displayed products such as fresh-water pearl jewelries, organic coco sugar, placemats and Christmas décor made of piña and as well as assorted Capiz plates, bowls and kitchen utensils. “It’s More Fun” brochures were also distributed.
The proceeds of the bazaar were donated to twenty-five (25) charities including the Jakub Falkowski Institute for the Deaf, Association of Parents and Friends of the Blind and Visually Impaired Children “Rainbow” and Warsaw Volunteer Mission.
Philippine Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz was interviewed by Polsat News during the event to explain about the products being offered.
The Bazaar was under the patronage of the First Lady of Poland Agatha Kornhauser-Duda who graced the opening ceremony. END
