Philippine traditional game materials such as sipa, sungka and trumpo are currently on exhibit in Warsaw’s Museum of Asia and the Pacific from 06 April to 30 September 2018. Philippine Embassy Cultural Officer Ms. Imelda de Joya explained to the exhibit coordinator Mr. Tomasz Madej how the games of sungka, sipa and trumpo are being played.
On behalf of the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw, Poland Ms. de Joyaalso donated a book to the Museum entitled A Study of Philippine Games authored by Ms. Mellie LandichoLopez.
Philippine traditional games were also featured in the Museum’s publication entitled Zabawa z Kultura: TradycyjneZabawyiGryAzji (Fun with Culture: Traditional Games and Asian Games).
