The Country Manager in Poland of Emirates Airlines Mr. Maciej Pyrka recently paid a courtesy call on Philippine envoy to Poland Ambassador Patricia Ann  V. Paez at the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw.

During their brief meeting, Mr. Pyrka expressed the readiness of Emirates to sustain the partnership with the Embassy in 2017 through the joint promotion of the Philippines as a travel destination, especially for M.I.C.E (meetings, incentives, conventions, events) activities.

Mr. Pyrka informed Ambassador Paez that since Emirates offered direct flights from Warsaw to Cebu city this year, there have been significant increases in tourist arrivals to the Philippines from Poland.

Amb. Paez told him that she had already relayed to the officials of the Department of Tourism based in Frankfurt about the interest of upscale Polish travellers in the Philippines. She added that she suggested to DOT-Frankfurt the packaging of tourism products custom-tailored for very affluent Polish tourists.
