Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez hosted a dinner of Polish cuisine for Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) Administrator Emmanuel Pineda; Clockwise- Ms. Justyna Kobos of the Pietrucha Group, Ambassador Paez, and another FAB official

A framework for cooperation and partnership was signed between the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) and the Lodz Regional Development Agency (LRDA) in Poland’s City of Lodz last November to reciprocally promote trade and commerce between the Philippines and Poland and to entice Polish investors to locate their businesses in the FAB in Mariveles, Bataan.

Administrator of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) Mr. Emmanuel Pineda, on one hand, and LRDA president Mr. Przemyslaw Andrzejak and vice president Ms. Agnieszka First, on the other signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Mr. Andrzejak said that LRDA’s partnership with the FAB would help the entrepreneurs from the region of Lodz in having business contacts in the Philippines. According to him, industries of interest among Polish firms include food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, construction, chemical, bio-economy, housing, renewable energy and  transportation.

The LRDA and the FAB will organize and hold business missions, meetings and seminars regarding opportunities for mutual cooperation.

It must be recalled that last 11 October, the production plant of the Pietrucha Manufacturing Philippines, Inc. (PMPI) was officially inaugurated the Freeport Area of the Bataan. The PMPI is a joint venture between Poland’s Pietrucha Group under CEO Mr. Jerzy Pietrucha and the Philippines’ Design Science whose president is Mr. Roberto Tenchavez.

Mr. Andrzejak was a member of the Polish business delegation which accompanied Poland’s Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs Mrs. Joanna Wronecka during her official visit to Manila in October.
