The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw held a Pulong Bayan on the 30th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution under the theme “Pagbabago: Ipinaglaban nyo, Itutuloy Ko” last 21 February at the Embassy Consular Hall. The forum was preceded by the celebration of the holy mass and attended by around 30 members of the Filipino community. Post’s Cultural Attaché, Ms. Catherine B. Ramintas gave a Powerpoint presentation on the background, key personalities, timeline of events and the legacy of the non-violent revolution that surprised the whole world. A video on the revolution was also shown after the presentation. Ms. Ramintas discussed the events that led to the 4-day revolution, the key personalities, including the highlights of each day which culminated in the departure of the late President Ferdinand Marcos from the Philippines on 25 February 1986. A simple salu-salo lunch followed after the forum.
