14 December 2014- The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw conducted a Pulong-Bayan and Overseas Voting (OV) registration at the Aqva Hotel in Rakvere, Estonia on 12 December 2014 and at the Philippine Honorary Consulate in the capital city of Tallinn the following day, yielding a total of 21 new registrants.

In her remarks, Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez said that citizenship is not only about rights and privileges but also about duties and responsibilities and expressed her appreciation for the Filipinos’ fulfillment of their civic duty. Honorary Consul Meelis Virkebau also welcomed the new registrants. Consul Randy Arquiza served as the Pulong-Bayan moderator.

The program was followed by a “salo-salo” with the members of the Filipino community.

Estonia is under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Poland together with the two other Baltic states of Latvia and Lithuania.
