PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR CONVEYS NEW YEAR GREETINGS TO THE SPEAKER OF THE SEJM OF POLAND

Warsaw, 20 January 2025 – Philippine Ambassador to Poland Mrs. Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz joined the Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Warsaw during the New Year’s Meeting hosted by the Speaker of the Sejm H.E. Mr. Szymon Hołownia, which was held at the Column Hall of the Sejm on 20 January 2025.

Ambassador Ruiz conveyed her warm greetings and best wishes for the New Year 2025 to Speaker Hołownia. She also welcomed the Speaker’s initiative to get together with the diplomatic corps as a means to strengthen parliamentary relations and cooperation between Poland and friendly countries around the world.

Ambassador Ruiz briefly informed the Speaker about the strong and active interaction and cooperation between the Philippines and Poland, at the multilateral, regional and bilateral levels. As current Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW), she also informed him that the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw strongly supports the application for accession of Poland to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in South East Asia (TAC).
