SHOM PRESIDENT THANKS FIRST LADY OF POLAND FOR HER PATRONAGE OF 2024 SHOM INTERNATIONAL CHARITY BAZAAR IN WARSAW
Warsaw, 27 December 2024 – The President of the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) Mr. Alejandro Ricardo D. Ruiz, conveyed to the Spouse of the President of the Republic of Poland Mme. Agata Kornhauser-Duda, SHOM’s greetings and appreciation for her patronage of the 17th SHOM International Charity Bazaar which was held at the PGE Narodowy on Sunday, 08 December 2024.

In his speech during the First Lady’s Pre-Christmas Meeting with the Women Ambassadors and the Spouses of the Heads of Missions in Poland, which was held at the Presidential Palace on 10 December 2024, Mr. Ruiz highlighted that Madame Kornhauser-Duda has once again graced the SHOM’s Charity Bazaar for this year, which has attracted at least 4,000 persons who browsed and purchased novelty items and products from around the world brought in by the participating Embassies in Warsaw. Mr. Ruiz stressed that the success of this event will enable SHOM to once again support a total of 15 charitable organizations around Poland.

The SHOM has been in existence since 2007 and has so far organized a total of 17 International Charity Bazaars, the proceeds from which have been donated to Poland’s charities. Mr. Alejandro Ricardo D. Ruiz, Spouse of Philippine Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, is the 17th President of SHOM and the first male spouse to have been elected to this position. END
