PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN WARSAW PARTICIPATES IN THE ACW MEETING AND TURNOVER OF CHAIRMANSHIP FROM INDONESIA TO MALAYSIA

02 July 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw joined ASEAN colleagues at a meeting held at the Indonesian Ambassador’s Residence on 02 July 2024, during which the rotating chairmanship of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW) was officially turned over by the Indonesian Embassy to the Malaysian Embassy.

Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz conveyed the Philippine Embassy’s deep appreciation and warm felicitations to Ambassador Anita Lidya Luhulima for the very successful and fruitful chairmanship of Indonesia during the first half of 2024 and also joined in the assurances of full support for the ACW initiatives and projects during the second half of the year under the leadership of Malaysian Ambassador Dato Chitra Devi Ramiah.

The ACW is one of fifty-five (55) ASEAN Committees in Third Countries and International Organizations that have been established to assist in coordinating and facilitating ASEAN matters in their respective host countries. END
