PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR CALLS ON THE DIRECTOR OF THE ASIA PACIFIC DEPARTMENT, MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF POLAND
29 February 2024 – Philippine Ambassador to Poland Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz paid a courtesy call on the newly-appointed Director of the Asia Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Poland, Ambassador Wojciech Zajączkowski.
Both sides discussed the latest developments in the bilateral relationship, noting that the Philippines and Poland marked the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations on 22 September 2023.
In celebrating fifty years of bilateral relations, both sides looked forward to the holding of the 6th Philippines-Poland Political Consultations and conduct of ministerial visits, progress in the negotiation of bilateral agreements, and implementation of mutual efforts and activities to promote stronger political, economic, science and technology, academic, and socio-cultural cooperation in the years ahead.
Ambassador Ruiz was accompanied by First Secretary and Consul Alena Grace Borra during the meeting with Director Zajączkowski and Mr. Maciej Tumulec, Head of the South-East Asia Section of the Asia Pacific Department. END
