THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN WARSAW CELEBRATES THE 2024 NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH AND INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

27 March 2024 - The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw organized a series of activities during the month of March to commemorate the 2024 National Women’s Month, with the sub-theme: “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas:  Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!” and the International Women’s Day which falls on March 8.

Starting from 01 March 2024 until 31 March 2024, the 2024 National Women’s Month banner (please refer below) was uploaded in the Embassy’s Website and Facebook.

On 08 March 2024, Warsaw PE personnel observed the “Purple Friday” by wearing purple clothing to signify support for women’s empowerment and gender equality. 

 

Consul Geronimo C. Suliguin Jr. delivered a brief explanation of the Women’s Day/ Month which aims to highlight that women are being given fair opportunities to enable them to showcase their potentials as they continuously engage actively in the society thus empowering them to reap the benefits of national growth and development. 

During the four Mondays of March, the Philippine Embassy personnel paid tribute to all Filipino Women around the world, giving significance to their vital role in society, by singing the Philippine National Anthem accompanied by the All-Women Filipino Cast Lupang Hinirang video during the flag-raising ceremony at the Embassy Chancery.
