PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN WARSAW CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH IN WROCLAW, RENDERS MORE THAN 100 CONSULAR AND OVERSEAS VOTING REGISTRATION SERVICES

9 March 2024 – A four-person team from the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw conducted the Embassy’s first consular outreach mission for 2024 in Wroclaw, Poland, some 360 kms southwest of Warsaw, bringing its services to its constituents located in that city and its environs. The outreach was held at Campanile Hotel from 8:30 AM-5:00 PM and resulted in the Embassy’s largest consular receipts to date.

A total of 60 Filipinos attended the outreach during the day, of whom 52 required OV registration services. The team rendered a total of 70 services including 23 expedited requests. Of the services, 16 applicants availed of the SPA, 13 affidavits, six (6) reports of births, four (4) certifications, and five (5) NBI applications. Three (3) minor applicants (infants) availed of the passport application. Central to the success of the outreach mission was the opportunity given to clients to also avail of OV registration services.

The Embassy is encouraging Filipinos who have not yet done so to avail of the OV registration services for the May 2025 mid-term elections before registration ends on 30 September 2024.

The team also conducted a Bagong Pilipinas townhall meeting attended by the first batch of Filipino clients during the opening hour of the consular outreach, with the head of the consular team Consul Geronimo Suliguin Jr. highlighting the role of Filipinos overseas in the Philippine government’s Bagong Pilipino campaign.  “Overseas Filipinos serve and act as ambassadors of the country wherever they may be,” noted Consul Suliguin.

The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw will hold its next consular outreach in Riga, Latvia on Saturday, 23 March 2024. END
