PHILIPPINE EMBASSY PARTICIPATES IN THE ASEAN SEMINAR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW

15 June 2023 – Philippine Ambassador Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz participated in an academic seminar on “ASEAN – Dimensions of Cooperation” hosted by the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Political Science and International Studies in collaboration with the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW).

The seminar focused on the ASEAN Community and its vision for 2025, progress in the implementation of this vision, the various strategic partnerships formed, and the role of ASEAN in today’s geopolitics and world order.

Professor Maciej Raś, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, gave the welcome remarks while Ambassador Tomasz Łukaszuk, chief organizer of the seminar for the university, moderated the panel discussions.

The Philippine Embassy’s presentation focused on the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community and the progress achieved in implementing the ASCC Blueprint from 2009-2015 as well as the adoption of the ASCC Blueprint 2025 in response to new global developments. END
