PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR ATTENDS THE 2023 INDEPENDECE DAY MILITARY PARADE IN TALLINN
24 February 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to Estonia Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, accompanied by spouse Mr. Alejandro Ricardo Ruiz and daughter Michaela Alexandra Ruiz, attended the Independence Day Military Parade upon the invitation of the Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces General Martin Herem to celebrate the country’s 105th Anniversary of Independence, during her official visit to Tallinn on 20-24 February 2023.
Prior to proceeding to the Freedom Square (Vabaduse väljak) which is the venue of the parade, Ambassador Ruiz and her family attended a meeting/reception hosted by the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps/Ambassador of Poland to Estonia at the Polish Embassy from 11:00-11:45 a.m., from which the Dean and his guests proceeded to the square.
The military parade started at exactly 12:00 noon, with the arrival of H.E. the President of Estonia and the singing of the Estonian National Anthem, and ended at approximately 1:00 p.m.
