DMW SHUTS DOWN CONSULTANCY FIRM PROMISING BOGUS JOBS IN POLAND

Manila, 07 December 2022.  The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) closed a travel consultancy firm for alleged illegal recruitment of Filipino workers to Poland.

DMW Secretary Susan Ople ordered the closure of the IDPLumen Travel Consultancy Services headquarters in San Fernando, Pampanga, and its branch offices in Santiago City, Isabela and Tabuk City, Kalinga.

The DMW Anti-Illegal Recruitment Branch (AIRB) disclosed that IDPLumen Travel Consultancy Services is not licensed by the POEA to operate as a recruitment agency, and does not have any validated overseas job orders.

Surveillance operations conducted by the AIRB revealed that IDPLumen, under the guise of providing travel consultancy services, has been offering jobs in Poland for truck drivers, welders, and factory workers with a monthly salary ranging from P35,000 up to P124,000.

IDPLumen has been collecting up to P122,000 as processing fees from job applicants under two options - either regular upfront payments or a "fly now, pay later" scheme.

DMW Secretary Ople ordered the filing of illegal recruitment charges against IDPLumen. She encouraged victims of the consultancy firm to contact the DMW for assistance in filing cases against IDPLumen Travel Consultancy Services.

Victims of illegal recruitment schemes may report their cases directly to the DMW by visiting the AIRB Facebook Page, by sending an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling +63 2 8721 0619. (end)
