RETURNED BALLOT PACKETS/PACKETS WITH NO ADDRESSES
Upon receipt of the ballot packets from COMELEC in the first week of April, the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw immediately sent the ballot packets to all registered Overseas Voters (OVs) via UPS service. However, there were packets that indicated the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw as the mailing address. The OVs concerned have not contacted the Embassy subsequently to indicate the addresses their ballots should be sent to.
After the first mail out, a number of packets were returned to the Embassy for various reasons: absence of persons to receive and sign for the packet, refused delivery, inaccurate or incomplete addresses..
To verify if your packet is among those returned or that have no mailing address, please click on the following link to view the List of Returned Ballot Packets/Packets with Embassy as Mailing Address/Packets with Incorrect or No Addresses
The OVs on the list have two options:
OPTION 1: Visit and claim their packets IN PERSON at the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw as soon as possible. The presentation of the original Philippine passport or any valid ID is compulsory. Representatives will NOT be entertained even if they present an authorization letter. Aside from the passport or ID, the OV will also be required to accomplish the OVF 1 and present a proof of current address, e.g., billing statement for utilities (electricity, water, etc.) or subscriptions, indicating the OV’s name and address.
The OVs have until Sunday, 08 May 2022 to claim their packets at the Embassy which will be open every day (including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) to enable the OVs to claim their packets. (Note: There will be NO consular services on these weekends or holidays.)
OPTION 2: Inform the Embassy immediately via email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) of the correct and complete address (and also attach a copy each of the completed OVF1, Philippine passport or valid ID, and proof of current address) and the Embassy will immediately mail the packet to this address. Once the ballot is completed, immediately mail it back so that it is received by the Embassy before 1:00 p.m. of Monday, 09 May 2022 (7:00 p.m., Philippine Time).
The Embassy wishes to reiterate and to emphasize the various reasons, as stated above, behind the non-delivery of packets/envelopes. In view thereof, please be advised that the Embassy will not be held accountable for any unforeseen delays or non-delivery of ballot packets in the second round of mailing. END
