The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw joins the whole nation in celebrating the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week to be held from 17 to 23 July 2017. The weeklong event is commemorated annually to stimulate public awareness on the issues and problems of disability and encourage every citizen of the country to take active responsibility in the upliftment of the economic and social conditions of all persons with disabilities (PWDs) in our society.
This year’s celebration adopts the theme “Karapatan at Pribilehiyo ng Maykapansanan: Isakatuparan at Ipaglaban”, which focuses on the realization of the fundamental freedoms and rights of persons with disabilities as provided for in existing international mandates and national laws.
