COVID-19 TESTING NO LONGER NEEDED FOR FULLY-VACCINATED AND BOOSTERED TRAVELLERS

 

The Embassy is pleased to announce that effective on Monday, 30 May 2022, the following rules on arriving passengers will be followed:

A) Foreign nationals

A.1 Arriving foreign nationals shall not be required to present negative Covid-19 test results upon entering the Philippines provided that they are fully vaccinated AND have received at least one Covid-19 booster shot.

The acceptable proof of vaccination are any one (1) of the following:

  • World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis;
  • VaxCertPH;
  • National or state manual/digital vaccination certificate of the country/foreign government; OR
  • Other proof of vaccination permitted by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

A.2 Foreign nationals who are fully vaccinated but who have not received at least one Covid-19 booster shot may enter the Philippines but are required to present negative RT-PCR Test or Antigen Test results before departure and upon arrival in Manila.

A.3 However, foreign nationals who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or whose vaccination status cannot be independently validated will not be allowed entry into the Philippines.

B) Filipino nationals

All Filipino nationals are allowed to enter the Philippines regardless of their vaccination status:

B.1 Those who are fully vaccinated shall not be required to present negative Covid-19 test results upon entering the Philippines provided that they are fully vaccinated AND have received at least one COVID-19 booster shot.

The acceptable proof of vaccination are any one (1) of the following:

  • World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis;
  • VaxCertPH;
  • National or state manual/digital vaccination certificate of the country/foreign government; OR
  • Other proof of vaccination permitted by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

B.2 Those who are only fully vaccinated but have not received a booster shot must present negative Covid-19 test results before departure and upon arrival in Manila.

B.3 Those who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated, or whose vaccination status cannot be independently validated must present negative Covid-19 test results before departure and upon arrival in Manila AND undergo facility-based quarantine until release of the negative results of their RT-PCR test taken on the fifth (5th) day from date of arrival, after which they shall undergo home quarantine until their fourteenth (14th) day from date of arrival.
