ADVISORY NO. 14/2021
TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS ON TRAVELERS FROM INDIA, PAKISTAN, NEPAL, SRI LANKA, BANGLADESH OMAN AND THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
The Embassy wishes to announce to the traveling public that all passengers coming from or who have been to India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman and the United Arab Emirates within fourteen (14) days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines shall be prohibited from entering the country from 0001H of 15 May 2021 Manila time until 2359H of 31 May 2021. Filipino nationals who are covered by any repatriation program of the national government shall not be prohibited from entering the country, but shall be required to undergo an absolute facility-based fourteen (14) - day quarantine period notwithstanding a negative (RT-PCR) test result.
Those passengers who arrived from these countries before 0001H of 15 May 2021 Manila time and were not prohibited from entering the country shall be required to undergo an absolute facility-based fourteen (14) - day quarantine period notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR test result.
Passengers who only transit through India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman and the United Arab Emirates and who have stayed inside airports the whole time of their transit and are not cleared for entry into these countries by their immigration authorities are not covered by this prohibition. They need only to comply with existing testing and quarantine protocols applying to all arriving passengers, i.e. with pre-booked accommodation for at least ten (10) nights in an accredited hotel/facility and subject to Covid-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the seventh (7th) day from the date of arrival.
The Embassy wishes to advise those travelers who are affected by these restrictions to postpone or modify their travel plans accordingly to avoid any inconvenience. END
