PH EMBASSY, MWO-PRAGUE, OWWA, HOLD CONSULAR SUNDAY- ALAGANG OWWA CARAVAN IN WARSAW

14 September 2025 – The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw, MWO-Prague and OWWA teamed up to organize a consular outreach, Labor Contract Verification, and Alagang OWWA Membership and Welfare Service Caravan last 14-15 September 2025 at the Novotel Warsaw Centrum.

Ambassador Alan L. Deniega, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Undersecretary Felicitas Q. Bay, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Patricia Yvonne (PY) Caunan delivered remarks during the program.

The two-day event is the first of its kind in Warsaw. More than 400 Filipinos joined the Sunday leg alone, with 236 e-Card issuances and 171 membership applications. The Monday continuation of the OWWA Caravan yielded 72 e-card issuances and 62 membership applications.

Discussions regarding the proposed creation of a Migrant Workers’ Office (MWO) in Warsaw was shared by Undersecretary Bay. OWWA Administrator Caunan said that OWWA services should be made more available to the Filipinos in Poland.

Aside from providing consular services, the Embassy took the opportunity to ask Filipinos to register in its database and its Viber Application Channel.
